RICS Homebuyer Reports

RICS Homebuyer Reports are designed for younger, smaller properties.

The RICS Homebuyer Report is less detailed than a Full Building Survey, and each element within the property is rated by a number from 1 to 3.

  • A rating of 1, means that there are no serious or significant defects with that particular part of the property.
  • A rating of 2, means that a defect exists and minor repairs are required.
  • A rating of 3, means that a serious or significant defect exists, and replacement or major repairs are required. A specialist contractor may have to be contacted.

The RICS Homebuyer report is ideally suited for flats, or small, relatively modern properties.
